Jean Wilson Wise, 72, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County, surrounded by her loving sisters, her brother-in-law Kermit Myers, and her devoted husband, Tommy.

She was born on December 5, 1953, to the late Roy Allen Wilson and Betty Nixon Wilson.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband, Thomas Glenn Wise; her sisters, Patricia “Pat” Cain, Linda Gibson, Pamela “Pam” Myers (Kermit), and Juanita Yountz (Zack); her stepdaughter, Wendy Wise; grandchildren, Madison (Cas) Hodge and Ryan (Logan) Hodge; great-grandchild, Lilith Rovira; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom she loved as her own. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Timmy Wise.

Jean retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company and later worked at Ocean Isle Inn. She had a deep love for the beach, especially Ocean Isle Beach, where she found great joy and peace. As a child, she cherished camping trips with her parents and four sisters—memories that remained dear to her throughout her life.

Though Jean had no children of her own, her love for her family was boundless. She adored her nieces and nephews and treated them as if they were her own children. She also found comfort and happiness in listening to Gospel music.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to her hospice nurse, Charity, and to the entire Hospice team at Hinkle Hospice House for the compassionate and loving care shown to Jean. They are also deeply thankful for the many prayers, kindness, and support extended to Jean and her family during her illness.

In accordance with Jean’s wishes, there will be no formal service.
